Emily Ling
Emily Ling recently returned to Austin after a few seasons in Massachusetts, where she earned a MDiv and Certificate in Religion & Conflict Transformation from Boston University. Prior to theological studies, she earned a MPAff from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. With experience in the fields of public education, racial justice and disaster relief, her primary work has focused on criminal justice reform and advocating on behalf of the incarcerated, including positions at the ACLU and the Texas Jail Project. After years of a growing interest in healthy eating & food justice, she now works as the Assistant Farm Manager at New Leaf Agriculture, an organic farm that uses regenerative agriculture to employ refugees with fair-wage, ecological-healthy labor. Her joy is nurtured by exploring parks, poetry & dinner parties.
